defaultCodecRegistry

The KMongo base codec registry.

It is the official driver default registry (com.mongodb.MongoClientSettings.getDefaultCodecRegistry) without:

• the Kotlin data class & kotlinx.serialization codecs (KotlinCodecProvider), as KMongo uses its own object mapping

• the EnumCodecProvider&Jep395RecordCodecProvider (managed by the KMongo object mapping)

• the legacy DBObject codecs (the legacy DBObject API is not available in the Kotlin drivers)

The GridFS codec is kept: GridFS is used with the Java driver (see KMongo.createJavaClient).
